Historic Happenings
I will post local events which have a "historic" flair. This is only met to provide information and let you know what is available in our area. I will focus on a few local museums first.


Get to know the history of your town. Often unnoticed, but with a lot to offer, the Barnegat Historical Society's Heritage Village sits on East Bay Avenue. It consists of 4 major buildings and 3 smaller structures that are awaiting exploration. It is open the first Sunday of every month from 1pm-4pm., and small group tours can be arranged upon request. A pirates treasure awaits you if a nautical theme "puts wind in your sails". This hidden gem is the New Jersey Maritime Museum located at 528 Dock Road, Beach Haven, NJ 08008. It is open Sept.-May on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
